I structure marketing activities around your business goals. I examine analytics and run campaigns, define marketing funnels and KPIs, or even create websites, copy or images.

Product

I believe product is at the heart of business success, whether that product is a physical thing, software, or a service package.

I create products & features, gather customer insights and create value propositions. I define product strategies and roadmaps.

Business Analysis

Many people struggle with the complexity of large, numerous and diverse datasets, yet these can unlock your path to business growth!

I create business strategies by building business models, forecasting finances and analysing data. I then communicate this in a clear, concise way for any audience.

Brave Rival

Blues rock band, 4 X UK Blues Awards Finalists

The band asked me to support them across a variety of difference business areas as their operations scale up. These touch on marketing, financial forecasting, merchandise stockholding and many others.

I created a financial forecast model for the band's income streams and outgoings, which showed them how much and when to invest in the growth of their business, in particular into advertising.

I helped the band create an outcomes-driven marketing plan, which they were able to use to grow Facebook followers by 50% with a short Ad campaign, and I managed their fan community to grow from zero to over 1000 members in 8 months.

I built a tool to manage the band's merchandise inventory and predict their sales. This has led to better ordering practices, simplified merchandise storage and much less complexity.

About me

My name is Jon Parkins - I run Towering Tree.

I am technical by training and business / product / marketing by trade. I earned an Engineering PhD from the University of Cambridge working on 3D printing technologies for medical implants, after which I joined Halma plc (one of Britain's most admired companies) on their graduate programme. Upon completing the programme I gained 4 years of product and marketing experience in a Halma subsidiary working in management positions.

I am a family man, with a wife, a young daughter and a rescue dog. In my spare time I am a passionate musician, having released tens of songs as guitarist with Chloe Josephine (find us on Spotify and Bandcamp).

Why Towering Tree?

It may seem a strange name for my business, but it comes from the connection my wife and I have with nature. We feel a real sense of calm in the presence of large, sturdy trees, and we both have tree tattoos.

Towering, because I'm 6' 6" tall!
